Dik Trom en zijn dorpsgenoten

Comical children’s film adapted from a well-known book by C. Joh. Kievit. Scoundrel Dik Trom twice comes to the aid of an old woman in his village.

Dik Trom collects money for Oude Kee, a poor, elderly woman in his village. With the money she can buy an organ and use it to earn a living. A part of the money Dik Trom collected is stolen by Oude Kee’s nephew. Our hero decides to set this straight and goes after the thief.

Ciske de Rat

Social drama around a street urchin who kills his mother in a fit of anger.

Ciske de Rat brought the first two instalments of Piet Bakker’s famous trilogy about Amsterdam street urchin Ciske Vrijmoet to the screen.

Ciske’s father is at sea and his cruel mother neglects him. The only people who care about what happens to him are schoolmaster Bruis and his father’s new girlfriend aunt Jans. When Ciske accidentally kills his mother by throwing a knife at her in a fit of anger, he is sent to reform school. It looks as if he will be marked for life.

Het verraad van de zwarte roofridder

Children’s film about a mysterious green seal.

The film tells the story of knight Bruno and his children who are trying to prevent the green seal from falling into the hands of the Black Knight. The person who has the seal becomes all-powerful and fortunately, after many adventures, the seal ends up with good knight Bruno.

As in almost all of Henk van der Linden’s films the children behave like small adults, gamely leading the fight against evil.

Pipo en de piraten van toen

Children’s film about Pipo de Clown, a well-known character from television.

After Plom’s doll is stolen by a sailor, Pipo de Clown, Mammalou, Klukkluk and Plom chase after him. On the island Rarumba they come eye to eye with a menacing but sad pirate who stole the doll from Plom because it looked exactly like his son, who has disappeared. After Pipo finds and returns the pirate’s son to his father, the clown and his mates can return to their caravan in the Netherlands.

Children’s film about a group of boys on holiday.

A quiet town is having its peace destroyed by a gang of rowdy boys. A worried inhabitant thinks they need to be taught some respect and organises a summer camp in the country where the boys can compete in sports and games. There’s even a bicycle as a prize for the best sportsman. A burglary at a nearby farm threatens to ruin the whole enterprise - the local police think the boys at the summer camp had something to do with it. One of the boys manages to find the real culprits, however, and after an exciting chase they are caught.
