Summary
Shot of Dam Square on a weekday. In the background the Royal Palace is visible behind the then national monument, 'De Eendracht', better known by the common name "Naatje op de Dam".
The monument was unveiled in 1856, commemorating the Ten Days' Campaign and as a symbol of the Dutch harmony. In 1914 when the layout of Dam Square was changed the statue was taken down.
