Summary

Advertising film for KLM.

This film advertises for KLM in various ways: a businessman misses the train, and hurries himself through Amsterdam’s busy downtown traffic – the noise of the Leidsestraat is comparable to the with the bustle of New York – on his way to Schiphol airport. And when he finally gets there, he is again too late; he has missed his plane, but the pilot is willing to turn back. We then see shots illustrating KLM’s services and possibilities: passengers being picked up at Amsterdam’s Central Station; KLM transporting the airmail; the processing of cargo; ambulance services, dogs being transported to a dog show in London, and the manufacture of aircraft. The film closes with an image of Anthony Fokker.
