Summary

Ramses Shaffy stars as Frank Jansen, a successful writer who is experiencing difficulties with the tax authorities as well as the women in his life.

He finds it particularly difficult to choose between Mascha, who translates his novels into English, and Marina, who runs a boutique and looks after his flat, which generates considerable tension amongst the three of them. The situation comes to a head when the girls return from a trip to London, where they miss seeing their English acquaintance Peter (Michael York) who in the meantime, as the result of a misunderstanding, has been waiting for them in Amsterdam. Once the clouds have cleared away Mascha discovers that she is in love with Peter and Frank finds solace in Marina's arms.
