Het compromis
Summary
Amsterdam, 1968, in the midst of hippie culture. A young couple, a leftist journalist and a model, realize on coming into contact with avant garde theatre company The Living Theatre that their marriage, though seemingly successful, has in fact run aground and is only held together by compromise.
This fact becomes apparent when the wife finds herself interested in one of the members of the avant garde company who refuses to return to the United States because he knows he will be drafted into the army. The company leaves Amsterdam and Hans and Maya, reconciled, slip back into their old situation.
