Jan Dop

Biography

Jan Dop is a Dutch film editor. He studied in Italy, first at the Academia de Belle Arti in Bergamo and later at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. After working in Italy for a number of years Dop returned to the Netherlands, where he became a sought after editor. He did assemble a number of feature films, but mostly worked with filmmakers like Johan van der Keuken, Frans van de Staak and Kees Hin.

Jan Dop also made documentaries, including Het rode huis (1988) about the Navajo in Arizona.
