The footage was probably shot by Kinematograaf Pathé Frères for their French parent company. Before the images begin, we see a short scene involving two children from Volendam. The decor recalls La fille de Delft, a Dutch-Belgian film from 1913 that Alfred Machin made for Pathé’s Belgian subsidiary, Belge-Cinéma Film.
