Biography
Fred Penley was the leader of the cabaret group The Timberley Follies, which was formed in 1914 by interned British sailors in Groningen.
At the beginning of the 1920s, Penley and Alex Benno ran the rental agency Actueel-Film.
In 1925, he left for Paris.
