Locally shot films, in which the audience was able to spot themselves, their friends, or their relatives, were very popular in the early years of film, and they played to full houses. This film was made in the streets of Amsterdam: the camera makes a tour from the Jordaan via the Paleis voor Volksvlijt and the Nieuwmarkt neighbourhood, eventually arriving at the Passage Bioscoop on the Nieuwendijk.
