Reportage about the anniversary of the VVV in Leeuwarden, with film footage of the annual flower market. The board of the VVV donates two antique vases to the district council; these are placed in the Rengerspark. The film then shows some of the monuments maintained by the VVV, including the statue of Willem Lodewijk van Nassau-Dillenburg. The afternoon programme includes a parade with bands, as well as ‘tilting at the ring’ competitions. The day ends with festive fireworks that illuminate the most important buildings.
