De vergeten medeminnaar

Summary

Psychological thriller about a man who loses his memory.

A young man is found roaming the streets. He suffers from amnesia and is taken to a psychiatric hospital. The police think he may be involved in a murder. Slowly the man regains his memory and a plot is revealed in which he seems to be both perpetrator and victim.

De vergeten medeminnaar features top actor Henk van Ulsen’s first - and last - major film part. Producer Landré asked John Korporaal, who had earlier worked on Rififi in Amsterdam, to direct. The screenplay was based on Het andere verleden (Another past) by Rico Bulthaus, a psychological novel about a man who loses his memory. Between them, Korporaal and Landré produced a thriller that held its own among the international B-movies of the time.
