Aankomst van Paul Kruger te Amsterdam
Summary
Report of the arrival of Paul Kruger in Amsterdam, during his trip to Europe at the end of the Second Boer War.
After his arrival in the Netherlands in December 1900, Kruger initially stayed in The Hague. On December 20, he traveled by train to Amsterdam, where he was met by a large crowd at the Central Station.
F. A. Nöggerath filmed the arrival; the result was shown the same evening in his theater Varieté Flora.
Kruger would remain in the Netherlands for nearly two years. In 1902 he moved to Clarens, Switzerland, where he died on July 14, 1904.
