Summary

Two layers of film slide across and through each other in a rhythmic game, supported by an African rhythm.

Making Meni involved meticulously unravelling a series of 20-second dance movements. These movements were divided into very short fragments (from 0.5 to 1.5 seconds), and these short fragments were then arranged in repeating patterns. By interspersing the fragments, a narrative tension emerges from this mathematical structure. A double exposure with a time difference of 1 second makes the rhythm even more intense.
