Friesland's roem

Summary

Partially staged promotional film for various agricultural cooperatives.

Using the characters of Binnert Tjaarda, his wife Boukje and his brother Jouke, who lives in the United States, we come to know all the facets of these Frisian cooperatives. 

Explained are how the cooperatives operate, and how various cooperative institutions lend mutual support to each other. We see the leading board members of the time appear on the screen. The film ends with an organizational chart, and an animation of the flows of goods and money within the cooperative organizations. The film also gives a comprehensive picture of Friesland in the 1920s.
