Diamant
Summary
Advertised as a "family drama". The story - as far as described in reviews - tells how Mozes, an elderly diamond-cleaver, is almost driven insane by the loss of a wallet containing packets of diamonds. In his despairing condition he is comforted by his loving wife. The only person in the family who knows something more about the loss of the wallet is Marie, the foster-daughter, who, incidentally, is in love with her foster-brother. Marie knows that her real father, an habitually drunken farmer, has stolen the diamonds. With her foster-family, Marie goes to her father's home in the countryside. They arrive there just at the moment when the thief, in a drunken fit, is about to burn himself alive together with the precious stones.
