De dwaze lotgevallen van Sherlock Jones
Summary
Sherlock Jones is a bungier, a nice little chap who dreams of performing great deeds. Together with his dog, Watson, he gets involved, whether he likes it or not, in the case of the Khartoum diamond. This legendary stone, which is worth millions, arrives in Holland to be split and polished in the renowned diamond-cutting works of Sondag.
It is transported from Schiphol in a fortress on wheels, a heavily armour-plated strong-room, manned by armed guards. The vehicle is also surrounded by a police escort. During the transport, the Mafia, headed by Don Rattazzi, attempts to steal the diamond. The robbers themselves arrange that all the security precautions will be checked by the 'celebrated' private detective, Sherlock Jones, because they know he won't have any idea of what is going on. The robbery is a brilliant success, as a result.
But thank goodness Watson, Jones' dog, is present too. Thanks to his watchfulness, Sherlock manages to emerge from the eventual struggle as the victor.
