Firma P.R. van Duinen
history
The Firma P.R. van Duinen. Im- en export, Filmhandel was registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam on January 1, 1919, though it had already existed before that. The name was mentioned, for example, in Amsterdam's address registry of 1910.
Under the management of P.R. van Duinen en N.R. Besseling, the company was engaged in renting out films and dealing in film equipment. On February 8, 1924, it was announced that the distributor Filma had become a division of P.R. van Duinen (although the registration with the Chamber of Commerce dates back to October 29, 1922).
Four years later, in 1928, P.R. van Duinen took over the firm Kino Centrale Sikkens & Co. On October 26, 1932, the company’s name officially changed to N.V. Kinotechniek voorheen P.R. van Duinen.
