Continuation of the firm P.R. van Duinen, which dealt in film equipment (until 1947, the appendix 'voorheen P.R. van Duinen' was part of their business name).

Initially the company was managed by P.R. van Duinen and N.R. Besseling. When Van Duinen resigned in 1940, G.O. Krauch was appointed by the Germans as the administrator, until July 31, 1945. Kinotechniek remained active until the 1970s.
