De Heer en Mevrouw Kortlang

Summary

The film begins in front of Haarlem's railway station when Mr and Mrs Kortlang set out to do their shopping. It ends outside a clothing-store into which a thief has flown. Policemen station themselves near the entrance so that they can catch him when he comes out. However, in the meantime the thief has purchased a completely new suit of clothes which alters his appearance so much that when he emerges from the shop the policemen respectfully salute the distinguished gentleman.
