People have fun on the ice of the Herengracht canal in Amsterdam. Skaters are getting ready for their journey from Amsterdam to Monnickendam and Marken. Along the way they pass the village of Ilpendam. Near the town of Broek in Waterland skaters cross a bridge to switch to another stretch of ice. A stall sells hot chocolate.
