Summary
About the land reclamation around the fisher's island of Urk.
A feature film in documentary style about the impact of the land reclamation around the island of Urk, which is part of the Netherlands' northeast polder. A young couple is about to marry, but runs into conflict because the bride and groom have different ideas about what this means to them. Eventually they do get married, and the couple moves away; the groom finds a job as a fisherman on the North Sea.
