Pierre Bastien

Biography

Pierre Bastien is a French musician and composer. In 1977 he built his first ‘music machine’, which he uses to perform his own music and sound compositions. Since then he has been working on developing an orchestra of music machines; he also does projects with other musicians, artists, and performers.

Since the mid-1990s, Bastien has realized a number of film and sound performances in collaboration with Karel Doing.
