Paul Meyer

Biography

Actor Paul Meyer was born on 8 January 1915 in Rheden. He started his theatre career with Johan Steenbergen, Sr.'s travelling theatre company. From 1945 to 1948 he ran the Haagsch (Jeugd-) Tooneel and was a director for the Zuid-Hollands Toneel. He was in television programmes such as 'In volle zee', 'Neutraal terrein', 'Centraal Station', 'Hollands Glorie' and 'Dolly Dots'. Op het witte doek speelde hij in Fietsen naar de maan, Geen paniek, Pinkeltje, Mijn vader woont in Rio and De kassière. Around 1960 he also acted in a few Belgian films and directed the feature film Déjà s'envole la fleur maigre (1960).
