Biography
Jan Bosdriesz is a Dutch filmmaker and editor. He began his career as an editor at Joop Geesink's animation studio. After the Netherlands Film Academy he edited films by Paul Verhoeven, Hugo Claus, Adriaan Ditvoorst and Jos Stelling, and then he went to work for the NOS/NPS.
In 1991, Bosdriesz directed the feature film De provincie with Pierre Bokma and Gijs Scholten van Aschat. In Zwarte ogen (2008) he explored the life of singer Pjotr Leshchenko and, in doing so, documented a part of his own family history.
