Hugo Metsers

Biography

Hugo Metsers was born on 1 April 1943 in Hulst, Belgium. He worked as a photographer in Belgium and went to night school for acting lessons. For several years he performed at the Nederlands Kamertoneel in Antwerp and went on to continue his career in the Netherlands, where he was best known his role in Blue Movie (1971). He also played in other films including Frank en Eva, Alicia, Spetters, De zwarte ruiter and Flodder.

Metsers is married to the actress Pleuni Touw. He has a son, Hugo Metsers III, from his previous marriage to actress Maartje Seyferth.
