Biography
Dutch actor who moved abroad at a young age. He studied and worked in Germany, France, and England.
In the 1910s, he was the general manager of a British theatre company. He toured the Netherlands with this company in 1919. He then played a role in the film Wat eeuwig blijft, made by Anglo-Hollandia-film. Hector Abbas continued his career in England. Just before his death in 1942, he played a role in the propaganda film One of Our Aircraft is Missing (Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger), which partly is situated in the Netherlands.
