Biography
Bas van der Lecq is a Dutch director. Van der Lecq debuted in 1962 with two short films he financed himself: Jasper and het rokertje, about the 'anti-smoking magician' Robert Jasper Grootveld, and Twisteria. Van der Lecq would make short films until the beginning of the 1980s, including Meneer Frits en juffrouw Leni, which was part of the four-part film Zwaarmoedige verhalen voor bij de centrale verwarming that was nominated in 1975 for a Golden Bear in Berlin. His only feature film, Sprong naar de liefde, was released in 1982, but it flopped.
