Anna Abrahams
Biography
Anna Abrahams studied Film and Television Studies, Art History, and Mass Communication at the University of Amsterdam. She has been making films since 1990, usually experimental documentaries in which architecture plays an important role. Together with Jan Frederik Groot, Abrahams has her own production company: Stichting Rongwrong.
Abraham is a co-founder and one of the driving forces behind the Filmbank (an interest group), as well as an exhibitor and distributor of experimental films in the Netherlands. In addition to her work for the Filmmuseum, the Filmbank, and other partners, Abrahams also works at EYE as a programmer of experimental film.
With Aantekeningen uit het ondergrondse and Cadavre Exquis, Abrahams made two films in which she portrays several Dutch experimental filmmakers.
