't Speldenraapstertje
Summary
The play is described as "a romantic comedy in 3 acts and an epilogue".
The epilogue was the film insert, projected onto a screen. The play is about Marie Louise, who is in love with Dr Dorignac, who, alas, is already married. However, Dorignac's wife Madeleine is enjoying a liaison with his friend Gaston. Dorignac hires a private detective who, disguised as a man-servant, catches Madeleine and her lover "en flagrant délit". Thereafter, Dorignac will be able to get a divorce and marry his beloved Marie Louise. The epilogue on the screen shows the lovers, Madeleine and Gaston, being "caught in the act".
