Jongenskamp

Summary

Children’s film about a group of boys on holiday.

A quiet town is having its peace destroyed by a gang of rowdy boys. A worried inhabitant thinks they need to be taught some respect and organises a summer camp in the country where the boys can compete in sports and games. There’s even a bicycle as a prize for the best sportsman. A burglary at a nearby farm threatens to ruin the whole enterprise - the local police think the boys at the summer camp had something to do with it. One of the boys manages to find the real culprits, however, and after an exciting chase they are caught.

Jongenskamp is one of several semi-professional 16mm children’s films made during the post-war years. They were usually shown during matinees and special screenings for children at Christian youth clubs.
