Het geheim van de Valkenhorst
Summary
Dutch film for young people based on the book De vreemde hopman by Arie van der Lugt.
After De club van de Zwarte Panter, the second Catholic children’s film that Father Raymond van Sasse van IJsselt made for Brabant-Film/Parcival Film, a production company based in Tilburg. Just as in that film, this one was also starred boys from the Don Boscohuis in Leiden.
The film tells the story of a group of scouts who spend the night in a dilapidated castle that is rumoured to be haunted. They don’t believe a word of it – until their Scoutmaster disappears and they find themselves involved in a fight with arms smugglers.
