Gemeente arbeidsbeurs te Amsterdam
Summary
Propaganda film for the Municipal Labor Exchange in Amsterdam.
At the beginning of the 20th century, countless private employment agencies were active in Amsterdam, each with its own specialization. The city council was in favour of a single, centrally organized employment agency, and wanted it to be housed under the Municipal Labor Exchange. This propaganda film was meant to convince private employment agencies and other organizations that the Municipal Labor Exchange had access to a professional service that was well-equipped to mediate between employers and jobseekers.
