Summary

Modern fairytale about a young woman who is allowed three wishes.

Drie wenschen, based on the fairytale by the brothers Grimm, is a Dutch version of the Italian film I tre desideri. A kindly old millionaire fulfils the three wishes of Maria, a nanny. He helps her fiancé Tony start his career. Unfortunately, Tony then falls for Cora who is a singer. Maria's benefactor encourages Maria to become a singer as well. Her first performance is a great success and after Maria and Tony have made up, only one wish remains: to have the old man as their best man at the wedding.
