Allemaal naar bed
Summary
Advertised as the Netherlands’ first sex comedy but in fact a dry, documentary-like film about the reasons why people are willing to perform sex scenes in front of a camera.
For the most part the film consists of talking about all kinds of prejudices and difficulties that a sex film, or films with explicit sex scenes, can run into. The censorship board, attitudes of the government and politicians, private frustrations – everything is discussed.
The critics were not laughing, either; on top of it all, Fred van Doorn from the Amsterdam daily Het Parool wrote about the film as having: ‘the dreariest, most asexual nudity in the history of the sex film’.
