Under the direction of Max Fischer, a number of directors, photographers and artists made short erotic films, films that distinguish themselves from exploitative sex films by the artistic or subversive way they approach the subject of the erotic. The directors involved include: Nicholas Ray, Lasse Braun (using the pseudonym Falcon Stuart), Dusan Makavejev (listed in the credits as Sam Rotterdam) and Jens Jörgen Thorsen. The Dutch contributions were made by Geert Kooiman and he painter Hans Kanters.
The film’s title references the renowned Wet Dreams Festival which was organised at the beginning of the 1970s in Amsterdam.
