Roeland Kerbosch
Biography
Roeland Kerbosch is a Dutch filmmaker. He studied at the Netherlands Film Academy and was already his own producer when he made his directorial debut Maman tes fleurs in 1961; Roeland Kerbosch Filmproduktie was the name of his production company. Through this company he also produced numerous films for his partner at the time, Mady Saks. Kerbosch also worked for public broadcasters the KRO (A thing of beat… is a joy forever), the NOS, and the VARA (De zwarte revolutie). Kerbosch's own work at the end of the 1970s focused heavily on Africa and was distinctly political. In the 1990s, Kerbosch directed two feature films for the producer Matthijs van Heijningen (Sigma): Voor een verloren soldaat, with a screenplay adapted from Rudi van Dantzig, and AfFair play.
