Alarm Brand
Summary
Documentary about the work of Amsterdam’s fire department.
The film begins with images of the staff quarters in the barracks. When an alarm comes in about a fire at a bicycle factory on the Prins Hendrikkade, the fire-fighters spring into action. The fire engines then rush to the fire, and roll out their equipment. The fire – which has since been categorized as a ‘major fire’ – is fought from all sides. A large crowd of spectators has gathered in front of the burning factory.
After the fire is extinguished, the fire-fighters return to their barracks. Tired, but always prepared.
