On October 7, 1920, Queen Wilhelmina opened the pumping station in the Frisian town of Lemmer. The reportage shows the arrival of the Queen, and her reception by dignitaries. A young woman hands the Queen a bouquet of flowers, and we then see images of the interior and exterior of the pumping station, as well as the network of sluices.
