William Rienks
Biography
In February of 1931, Dutch film producer William Rienks and Frits Prinsen founded the Filmmaatschappij Electra. Their goal was to produce Dutch sound films.
But their first production, Terra nova, turned into a fiasco: director Gerard Rutten and producer Rienks argued with each other, and Rutten left. After this, Rienks edited his own version of the film, and screened it at Seinpost in The Hague.
