Willeke Alberti

Biography

Singer and actress Willeke Alberti is the daughter of the well-known singer Willy Alberti. At the age of eleven she made her television debut in the musical Duel om Barbara. Her first record, 'Zeg pappie Ik wilde u vragen', which was released in 1958, was a duet with her father. Alberti's songs were very successful in the 1960s and at that time she had multiple golden records.

For her lead role in the drama series De kleine waarheid (1970) she was presented with the Golden Televizier Ring. The crowning glory of her acting career, however, was the title role in the feature film Rooie Sien, directed by Frans Weisz. Thereafter she played a number of guest roles in various television series.
