Biography
Marinus Boezem was one of the leading conceptual artists of the 1960s, alongside Jan Dibbets and Ger van Elk. In his art, he ‘dematerializes’ the artwork; his sculptures are constructed using intangible elements such as air, light, and movement. One of his most famous works is the Groene kathedraal, a landscape artwork in the Southern Flevopolder.
In the early 1970s, Bosom made several experimental films in which we can see his artistic principles.
