Lennaert Nijgh

Biography

Lennaert Nijgh was a Dutch writer and filmmaker. He studied at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy. He wrote columns and musicals, but he is best known as the copywriter for his childhood friend, the singer Boudewijn de Groot. In the 1960s he made a number of short films, some with De Groot. He also wrote lyrics with his first wife, Astrid Nijgh, and other performing artists including Rob de Nijs and Liesbeth List.
