Joost van Veen
Biography
Joost van Veen finished his studies at the Academie voor Beeldende Vorming in Tilburg. Since 1995 he has been a filmmaker, performer, teacher, sound designer, producer, and celluloid expert. Van Veen is a founding member of WORM, a film workshop in Rotterdam. His short films and live cinema performances have been shown worldwide.
In 2005, he won a Tiger Club Award at the International Rotterdam Film Festival for his short film Interlude. For the co-production Harrachov (2006), he won the 2007 prize for best experimental film at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
