Biography
The director and scenario writer Jacob Bijl studied at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy and made documentaries for Dutch television and reported for Radio Nederland Wereldomroep (Radio Netherlands Worldwide). Before he went to the Film Academy, Bijl lived for a couple of years in Sweden.
His first film, Zwartziek, was screened at the festivals of Cannes and Mannheim. In his film Scrim, Geraldine Chaplin, Charlie's daughter, plays the lead role.
