Biography

Henk Molenberg was born on 14 May 1924 in Groningen. He studied at the Académie des Beaux Arts in Paris, amongst other places. He also earned diplomas in commercial correspondence in English, French and German, just in case the theatre didn't work out.

In the early 1960s, Molenberg was best known for his children's series Flipje, de tovenaarsleerling. In addition to this, he also had roles in Pommetje Horlepiep and Kunt u mij de weg naar Hamelen vertellen, mijnheer?. He was also active in scores of stage plays, radio plays and a few films, including The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (Martin Ritt, 1965), De verloedering van de Swieps, Wat zien ik? and De mantel der liefde. Besides this, he also performed for 15 years as part of Globe, a theatre company based in Eindhoven.

At the end of his career, Molenberg presented a number of cooking shows on television and wrote a number of cookbooks.
