Frits van der Kolk studied at the Dutch Film Academy in the early sixties and was briefly part of the famous 1,2,3- group along with Rene Daalder, Jan de Bont, and Rem Koolhaas. After living in Italy, van der Kolk returned to the Netherlands to become the
