Somersault Sally or: the Manipulation of Cinema
Summary
A film loop made with material from the 1930s.
We see a girl making a number of somersaults, accompanied by rolling. The way that the images have been edited gives the viewer the illusion that everything has been done in a single shot; only the duration reveals that there is a cut between the moment she finishes her flips and when she finally assumes a graceful posture.
The film was screened as a dual projection.
