Summary
Educational film about botany.
The story is set in a Hague school garden. The growth process of beans is shown accelerated through time lapse photography: the swelling of the bean, the germination and growth of young bean plants. The function of the cotyledons is explained. Eventually, the plants are pulled up and hung to dry. A dried legume is being shelled: seven shiny beans emerge.
