Summary

Reportage about the funeral of Mr. and Mrs. Pisuisse.

“The burial of the mortal remains of Mr. and Mrs. Pisuisse, who so tragically died on the evening of 26 November”, reads the first intertitle of the film. The Dutch comedian Jean-Louis Pisuisse and his wife Jenny Williams were fatally shot on Amsterdam's Rembrandt Square. The killer, Tjakko Kuiper, then committed suicide.

The extra news footage begins with archival shots of Pisuisse, and images of Rembrandt Square. These are followed by shots of the funeral procession departing from Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw. The pallbearers are Louis Davids, Max Tak, Max Blokzijl, Clinge Doorenbos, Paul Collin and Henk Stuurop, who were all well-known personalities from the Dutch entertainment world.

In Pisuisse’s home town of The Hague, the procession passes by the house of the murdered couple, and stops at the Oud Eik en Duinen cemetery, where the Pisuisse couple would find their final resting place.
