Munt Film Cie
history
In 1919, the film farce Bijna een dubbele moord in Lutjebroek was shot in Bussum. One of the initiators behind this film was Elias de Hoop, the general manager of the Bussum cinema Novum.
The production company behind the film was Munt Film Cie. This name presumably referred to the Amsterdam Cinema De Munt, which was run by De Hoop's father-in-law Benjamin Mendes.
Three years later, the film distribution company Munt Film was founded, with Elias de Hoop in charge. After the war, he was succeeded by his son Abraham de Hoop.
